One of the things I really like about any Disney World vacation is the ability to escape the parks and go to other themed areas full of new adventures! I love spending time at Disney’s Boardwalk when I want some slower-paced downtime. Best of all, it is in close proximity to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Here are some on my favorite things to do at Disney’s Boardwalk:
The food and drinks – So many options to choose from!
- My favorite place to relax is Boardwalk Pizza Window. You can get pizza by the slice or order an entire pizza for the entire family. It is easy and delicious. I also love to eat by the water and watch the boats go by.
- There are a lot of dessert options to chose from on the Boardwalk. The Beaches N Cream (at the Beach Club Resort) offers a walk up window which is perfect for our ice cream lovers. If you prefer a pastry or the newest seasonal cupcake, then you have to stop in Boardwalk Bakery for the cutest treats. That are AMAZING!
- There are several bar and lounge options for adults to enjoy in the evening too. Our favorite is the Belle Due Lounge and Jellyrolls (Dueling Piano bar).
Things to do – There really is no shortage of fun things to do!
- Surrey Bike Rentals on the Boardwalk are always popular and an exciting way to explore the area.
- Boardwalk Games are sure to entertain the kids in your party or the kid at heart.
- The Atlantic Dance Hall is fun for our friends that are 21 years and older.
- Shopping.
- Take in the wonderful atmosphere that takes you back to Coney Island or Atlantic City. I love sitting on the benches along Crescent Lake and taking in the sunset.
- Enjoy a Friendship boat ride
Disney’s Boardwalk area has become one of our favorite places to stay with walkable paths to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the magic is always a quick walk away. With the addition to the Skyliner makes it easy to hop back to your resort for a mid day nap or a dip in the pool to cool off in the hot Florida afternoon.
Whether you want to play or stay Disney’s Boardwalk is gem that you need to explore!
