I’m not really the most serious person you’ll meet. I love a theme and a chance to dress up and have fun. No wonder I love Disney so much! I take any chance I get to have some fun and really bring out my silly side when I’m having Disney fun.
If you aren’t ready to embrace your full out silly side, it’s easy enough to do one or 2 things to show how much fun you are having!
Shirts —
Disney has endless clothing options that you can pick up to show your Disney side. Tanks, sweatshirts, jackets, fun prints-you name it, it’s out there. You may like to do matching shirts or one that makes you smile. Or maybe like me, you like to match your shirt to your park day (Star Wars for Hollywood Studios, my #snackgoals shirt for any day and always Mickey for Magic Kingdom). You can keep it simple, but step away from the business casual you are stuck with most of the time and make it fun!
Hats and Ears —
We have quite an extensive collection of Mickey ears hats and Minnie ears in my house. I always make sure to pack them all and put on my ears the second we land at the airport and don’t take them off until we head home. They are glittery and fun and truly help me feel in the Disney spirit!
Pins —
Pin trading is not only a great way to have fun and be in the Disney spirit, but it gives you a great chance to meet fun people, including cast members. Pins also keep kids busy since they are often on the lookout for a must find pin for their collection. You can wear them on a landyard, on your clothes or anywhere you want. Either way, they are a fun way to jazz things up a bit and make your Disney day more fun!
Jewelry —
Maybe this isn’t silly, but it’s certainly a way to show your Disney side. My daughter and I always sport our Mickey and Minnie earrings in the parks and I love my Mickey ring. I also have a few Pandora charms that I wear at all times to remind me of my various special trips. This is a simple way I always have the Disney spirit with me, even if it’s not so silly!
So what about you? How do you get silly at the parks?
