I’m the type of person that likes things to be just so.  I like to settle into a hotel room and be there for the long haul.  But on two of my more recent Disney trips I did a two-resort stay, or “Resort Hopping” as its often called, and loved switching things up during my trip!  You should consider doing this too!

ThemingDisney currently has 25 resorts on property (and growing!), each with their own specific theme.  Ultimately, I personally would like to see every single one of them. Trying multiple properties gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a different world, even if only for a few days.  Hotel rooms, dining options, amenities, shopping and everything else is different. It’s a great way to mix up a heavily themed hotel with something more subtle, which can certainly keep multiple people in your party happy!

BudgetThere are three different levels of Disney resorts-value, moderate and deluxe.  If you have dreams of staying on a deluxe property, but financially it is not the most sound decision for your budget this is a great way to try things out for a night or two while keeping your overall budget in mind. Try out a deluxe resort for a night or two, then make the switch to a moderate or value resort and save a little bit!

Ease

Honestly, switching resorts mid stay was so much easier than I ever expected it to be.  In the morning before leaving our first resort we let bell services know that we were transferring.  They got our bags for us, gave us a slip of paper and sent us on our way. There was some Disney magic and after a long day at the parks we went back to our new hotel (after online check in and confirming our room number in the My Disney Experience app) and were able to go directly to our new room where our luggage was waiting for us.  This gave us time to explore our new hotel (and enjoy some marshmallows at the campfire), fill up our resort mugs and get settle in before more excitement at the parks.

Remember, variety is the spice of life!  Explore all of the variety Disney has to offer.
