On it’s surface, it’s a colorful bracelet that you see everyone wearing all over the Walt Disney World Resort property. Some are solid colored, some have designs and some are highly themed, but each is unique to the person wearing it. But what makes these bracelets so magical?
Leave the Wallet at Home: Magic Bands serve as your ID, credit card and room key-all right there on your wrist. You are already lugging enough stuff through the parks, without having to worry about searching for a piece of plastic. A simple scan of the wrist and it’s all there. The only downside-I’ve never been asked for my ID at Disney!
Dining Plan: Your Dining Plan can be used through your Magic Band. Cast members can scan your band and know what plan you are on and how many credits you have left! One less thing to worry about.
Lightning Lane Access: You planned hard to figure out what Lightning Lane options were best for you and your family. Once those are reserved through your My Disney Experience app, all you have to do is scan your band when it’s time to take your ride. Mickey turning green always makes my family happy, and it couldn’t be easier!
Memory Maker: With 100s of photographers all over the parks, it’s hard to not stop and pose for tons of pictures. Disney Photo Pass photographers will snap your pictures and scan your Magic Band. Usually, within minutes, your photos will show up right in your My Disney Experience app. You may even be surprised with a Magic Shot.
We put our Magic Bands on as we land in Orlando and don’t take them off until after we return to the airport. They are waterproof, sweatproof, kidproof and pure Magic!
