When you go to Disney as often as I do people ask if I get bored going to the same place all the time. My response is always no. Disney has a way to make sure that there is something new to explore whenever we go.
This time my family and I got to experience The Void. It is a virtual reality experience that has recently opened. We got to play Star Wars – Secrets of the Empire. It was very realistic, so much so that my husband (who is afraid of heights) had a problem getting from one room to another because it looked like we were crossing a big ravine.
When we got prepped for the experience, we were taken into a room and fitted with a helmet and jacket. They are heavy but not a problem. We put the visor down on the helmet and we were transported into another world. It was very realistic!
I won’t tell you what happened because I highly recommend that you experience it for yourself. I will tell you that we loved it so much that we already have a reservation for the Wreck it Ralph program that they just released this fall.
The Void is located in the Market place side of Disney Springs by the water fountain splash pad for the children.
