Lamplight Lounge Review

On our recent trip to Disneyland, my husband and I were lucky the new Lamplight Lounge in the new Pixar Pier.  We had a 7:00 pm reservation so it was already getting dark and all the lights of the park were shining bright! We checked in and our table was not quite ready.  The cast member informed us that they would send a text message when it was, and we would have 10 minutes from the text to return. This was great, and we took advantage of not being tied to the restaurant to check out Knick Knacks across the pier.

The cast member had asked when we checked in if we preferred an outdoor or indoor table.  I asked his opinion, and he recommended outside! I always trust the cast member’s opinion.  They have rarely, if ever, steered me wrong! We were seated outside when our table was ready and had an amazing view of Incredicoaster!  I enjoyed hearing it take off every few seconds, and hearing the screams of people having fun on the ride!
The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredible.  It was modern and rustic all at the same time. The menu had amazing sketches of the different Pixar movies, and the drinks had names related back to the movies as well.  I loved the wall heading to the bathrooms! It was covered in famous quotes from Pixar movies. The posters and decorations all related back to Pixar, and there were so many it was hard to notice all the details!  Just one reason to return, in my opinion!

We ordered some appetizers, drinks, entrees, and dessert.  Since we had reservations for the restaurant part that is downstairs, we could order entrees and dessert.  If you wait stand-by and get a spot at the bar upstairs, you can only order drinks and appetizers. Don’t fret though because I think the appetizers were the best part!!

My favorite thing we ordered were the potato skins.  OH. MY. GOODNESS. Those were so scrumptious! They had been recommended to us, and they did not disappoint!!!  The other thing I loved were the little donuts we got for dessert. Be sure to try the red dipping sauce. There is a little surprise for your mouth in that one!!

Lamplight Lounge may have become my favorite restaurant at Disneyland!  The atmosphere was amazing (unlike any other Disney restaurant I have ever been to), and the food was great as well!  I would (and will) 100% eat there again.
