Imagine beginning your trip in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. Here you can see some of the highlights from the film such as the gardens of Mirabell Palace, Nonnberg Abbey and other iconic spots. You can also walk in the footsteps of Salzburgs most famous resident– Mozart. Along the way you will enjoy an amazing collection of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture.
Want to get out of the city? You can take a fun family tour deep into the mountains in one of the local salt mines. There you can slide down the long chutes just like the miners have done and learn how salt became the lifeblood of Salzburg. World War II buff? Head up the mountain to Berchtesgaden where you can see the famed “Eagle’s Nest”.
Next you can head into Bavaria with a stop in Munich. This quintessential German city features amazing architecture, castles, museums and of course the fames beer gardens! You can also visit Neuschwanstein Castle and Schloss Linderhof, both royal residences of eccentric King Ludwig II. Come at the right time of year and you can experience the world famous Oktoberfest in its hometown!
