Disneyland Resort is a place full of traditions, magic and whimsical excitement as you explore every corner. I personally love it’s unique charm and warm sense of character. But did you know that it is even more magical for young families!? Let’s face it, traveling with young children can be hard!
Disneyland tops my list of great vacation destinations for young families. Here is why I fully believe that…
- It is very walkable. Those feet are little and they get tired easily! Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are right across from one another. That means less walking, no buses (NO folding strollers!) and ease of getting from one to the other!
- Tradition. Many of us remember our first visit to Disneyland. This is where it all started with Walt Disney. His touches and spirit are still very present throughout the park. The Imagineers do an incredible job of giving deep thought and purpose that points back to Walt’s initial vision. Looking up at his office window with the light on at night as you leave is very moving.
- Child friendly attractions. Did you know there are currently 35 rides and attractions throughout Disneyland that have NO height requirement? How many times have you visited other parks to only be disappointed that you and your little have nothing to do? Bring that baby and have fun!
- Flexibility. Disneyland’s Max Pass is a two in one feature that includes both advanced Fast Pass options and Photo Pass pictures. This is one our of team’s favorite add-ons at Disneyland. It brings convenience and adds to the memories you take home with you. This also means you do not have to pre-reserve them. Ride what you want when you get there…we all know a child’s interest changes like the wind!
- So much for little boys! Disneyland has changed the theme park world for little boys. With additions like Cars Land and the new Avengers Campus there is so much to do that isn’t sprinkled with princesses! There are many other boy-friendly experiences too.
- Unique character experiences. One of the things I love most about Disneyland is that you will often find characters roaming freely throughout the parks and resorts. It is just a really special touch of magic that you do not tend to find at it’s counterpart in Florida.
- Childhood stories come to life. For both your young children and yourself your childhood favorites come to life. Whether it be Snow White or Buzz Lightyear a visit to Disneyland means you become part of the story. This is such an incredible experience and even more incredible to watch on your child’s face!
- The weather. California offers consistent great weather year round. No monsoons and no humidity. Say goodbye to rain covers for your strollers and say hello to uninterrupted fun!
All of these things and more play into the size of Disneyland Resort. Because of this is makes for a very unique and spontaneous theme park experience. Each visit is totally different as their interests are rapidly changing. Bring your child the magic of a Disneyland vacation. I promise you will not regret it!
